On December 16, 2014, a report was filed by the Washington State Department of Ecology indicating an environmental cleanup at the Goodcrane Corporation in Olympia, Washington. Three years prior in October or June of 2011 (the document lists two different months of the same instance), vandals cut down a power pole and dumped the contents of three transformers to remove the copper coils within the transformers. This resulted in 124 gallons of petroleum hydrocarbons being released into the soil. As part of the cleanup, an excavator removed 30 cubic yards of mineral oil-impacted soil, measuring 22 feet long by 14 feet wide by 4.5 feet deep.
Pages two and four are missing from the 25 page document filed by the Washington State Department of Ecology. These pages appear to potentially discuss an earlier spill/excavation in 2008.
